November 19 - December 22, 2004
Set in December 1963, That '60s
Christmas Show is a fictional television variety special
that will take you back to the days of the corny, yet lovable
holiday specials of a bygone era, such as those by Andy Williams,
the Lennon Sisters, Lawrence Welk and others.
The world premiere of this BRT original,
the show is a fast-paced visual and musical treat with vibrant
period costumes and swanky, cocktail-party style arrangements
of holiday standards. The show is hosted by a has-been "Rat
Packer," Jack Clurman, and features a slew of guest stars
who never show up leaving the special's cast to impersonate
them, comedy sketches including a jumble of two the most beloved
Christmas-themed movies, and live commercials (inspired by
actual ads) of the period when it was cool to surprise your
sweetie with a new vacuum or iron under the tree. A holiday
delight for for the whole family. Rated G.
