How To Succeed in Business
Without Really Trying
Music and Lyrics by Frank
Loesser
Based on How To Succeed in Business
Without Really Trying by Shepherd Mead
July 29 - August 27, 2005
Power, romance, ambition, greed --
it's just another day at the office. From Abe Burrows and
Frank Loesser, authors of Guys and Dolls, How To
Succeed in Business Without Really Trying has been hailed
as one of the most delightfully irreverent musicals of all
time. A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, the
musical follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch who uses a
little handbook called "How To Succeed In Business Without
Really Trying" to climb the corporate ladder from lowly
window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar
but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant "company
man;" the boss' whiny, nepotistic nephew; the office
party; backstabbing co-workers; caffeine addiction; and, of
course, true love.
Starring Patrick Kramer as J. Pierrepont
Finch. Also starring Megan Murphy as Rosemary, Olivia
Dean as Smitty, Melodie Madden-Adams as Hedy LaRue, Thomas
DeMarcus
as
Bud Frump, Melinda Doolittle as Miss Jones, Scott Rice
as Mr. Bratt, Matty Adams as Twimble, and John Wilson as
Mr. Biggley. Featuring
Laura
Thomas, Sloan Yarborough, Laura Skaug, Lauri Bright, Doug
Cordes, Nick DeNuzio, Will Sevier, Mike Baum, Erin McDonough,
Amy-Beth Jones, Dave Bielawski and others.
Directed/Musical Direction by Jamey
Green; Production Design by Lewis Kempfer; Costume Design
by Billy Ditty; Technical Direction by Corbin Green; and
Choreography by Lauri Bright. |
